Let’s get this straight.
The City of Nelson is enjoying a windfall of $500,000 from Nelson Hydro’s high water bonus last year, plus another $70,000 in new taxation from developments, and a PST return… and they are still over-spent by $140,000, and needing to increase taxes and utility costs.
What would they have done if they hadn’t had those windfalls?
