Since when does the Nelson Star have the right to publicly comment on a court case that has not been concluded? I refer to your May 11 editorial, “A tax debate worth having.”
Surely you have compromised Dr. Warren Fischer’s right to a fair trial with your editorial trumpeting the virtues of paying taxes and implying what? Should you not have waited until the outcome of the trial?
And in your accompanying Page 1 news story, Dr. Fischer’s titles are placed in quotes, implying what? Would this leave readers wondering about his bona fides?
