Vitamins, not flu shots

Dr. Jenny Craig is a very competent and knowledgeable researcher, and the statistics that she has produced should be a wake-up call to all doctors regarding the dangers from vaccinations (letter “Flu vaccine statistics don’t add up” November 16, 2011).

The letter from Dave Haynes stated that he has no concerns about the mercury in vaccinations. One of the most popular medical writers in the United States is Dr. Julian Whitaker, with his newsletter Health and Healing. In a recent report he states that “Despite the hard sell, several review studies involving hundreds of clinical trials and several hundred thousand people have concluded that, for most children and adults, there is little scientific support for annual influenza vaccinations.”  He also mentions that 80 per cent of all flu-like illnesses are caused by bacteria and viruses not targeted by the vaccine.

He also mentions the problem of mercury toxicity from the vaccinations. He says that many flu vaccines contain thimerosal, which is 50 per cent ethyl mercury, the most toxic biological poison on earth. Ethyl mercury is so toxic that the Environmental Protection Agency requires full protective gear and self-contained air for workers cleaning up wastewater containing 200 parts per billion (ppb). A flu shot contains 25,000 ppb, eight times greater, and it is injected directly into the body.

Among Dr. Whitaker’s recommendations for protecting oneself against influenza are large doses of vitamin D3 and vitamin C, as well as probiotics and echinacea.
