Nelson’s Rowan Megale has won bronze with Team BC at the under-19 Canadian Rugby Championships.
Megale and BC beat Quebec 20-10 on July 22 to finish third in Saskatoon.
It’s not Megale’s first time playing for the provincial side. He travelled to Ireland last year for an exhibition tour with Team BC, and was previously a star on the L.V. Rogers Bombers rugby team.
Megale, who the Star named its athlete of the year for 2017, is next off to the University of Victoria in the fall to study Kinesiology on a rugby scholarship.
