The BC men's provincial championship runs until Sunday at the Nelson Curling Club.

A sixth provincial championship is just within Jim Cotter's grasp.

The skip of the Vernon-Kelowna rink led his side to a 5-1 win against Sean Geall in the Page 1-2 playoff on Saturday at the Canadian Direct Insurance BC Men's Curling Championship. The victory advanced Cotter to Sunday's 4 p.m. final.

Geall will face Dean Joanisse in Sunday's 11 a.m. semifinal. Joanisse defeated Glen Jackson 5-2 in the Page 3-4 match to move on.

The winner of the tournament hosted by the Nelson Curling Club will represent BC at the Brier in Ottawa, March 5-13.
