The accolades keep coming for Dryden Hunt.
The Nelson native was named the WHL's Eastern Conference MVP for his breakthrough season with the Moose Jaw Warriors.
Hunt, who agreed to an entry-level deal with the Florida Panthers in February, was also named to the Eastern Conference first all-star team.
Hunt finished the season with 58 goals, which was the best of all three Canadian major junior hockey leagues. His 116 points were second overall in the WHL, just four behind Adam Brooks of the Regina Pats.
The Warriors, who finished the regular season 36-27-9, open the first round of the playoffs Friday against the Prince Albert Raiders.
