Dynamiters score late, beat Leafs 2-0

Kimberley’s goals came in the final two minutes of the third period

The Kimberley Dynamiters scored twice in the final two minutes of the third period en route to a 2-0 win over the Leafs in Nelson on Saturday.

Kade Leskosky and Cash Regan scored as the Dynamiters (16-6-2) outshot the Leafs 13-5 in the final frame. Trystan Self meanwhile earned the shutout with 26 saves.

Frederick Larochelle finished with 27 saves in net for Nelson (14-6-3).

The loss dropped the Leafs to second in the Neil Murdoch Division, one point behind the Grand Forks Border Bruins.

Nelson next goes on a three-game road trip. The Leafs play the Golden Rockets on Friday, the Columbia Valley Rockies on Saturday and the Beaver Valley Nitehawks on Dec. 16.
