After a seven week break, the ice crew is back in action at the Nelson and District Community Complex.
Crews put the ice back in on Thursday and it will be ready for play Monday morning at 6:30 a.m.
The ice was taken out just after the May long weekend, but a heavy demand for August has the Zamboni back in the loop.
There will be a total of nine camps and tournaments — including the BC Seniors Games — between now and the start of September.
On Thursday the regular ice crew (L-R) Ed Gregorich, Joe Richichi and operations supervisor Jason Craig took the opportunity to test their work by taking the first strides of the new season.
