Bronze looks as good as gold to four local boxers.

Ryan Lewis, Max Berkeley, Brayden Markin-Hellekson and Riel Martinez of the Nelson Boxing Club each won titles at the Bronze Gloves at the Tomorrow’s Champions event, which was held Friday to Sunday in Cranbrook.

Lewis, who also won best overall senior boxer, secured his title with a third-round TKO against Jarret Olmert. The Nelson Boxing Club was also named best overall team.

The club’s titles follows a Golden Glove championship for Krishan Lysenko in March. Lysenko is set to compete this week at nationals in Quebec City.
