Glacier to send 11 gymnasts to provincials

The Nelson club also won 64 medals at a Cranbrook competition

Fifty-one of Nelson’s gymnasts returned home from the Key City Classic competition in Cranbrook on Feb. 23 to 25, winning 64 medals and six all-around titles.

This bi-provincial competition attracted 400 participants from clubs in British Columbia and Alberta.

The meet also serves as a qualifier for BC Provincial Gymnastics Championships. Eleven gymnasts from Glacier will be attending the B.C. championships in Vancouver, March 28 to April 30.

Glacier’s B.C. championships team includes: Canadian Competitive Level 6 – Elsa Troutet and Lillianna Mucha; Canadian Competitive Level 7 - Jersey Skolka, Molly Anderson, Rebecka van Hellemond, Emerson Mandseth, Anika Denkovski; Canadian Competitive Level 8 – Anni van Hellemond.
