Going for ice hockey gold at the BC Seniors Games

The puck dropped at the Nelson and District Community Complex on Saturday for the medal rounds of ice hockey for the BC Seniors Games.

The Salmon Arm Cavaliers faced off against the Lower Mainland's Gringo's in the gold medal round of the 60+ ice hockey.


The puck dropped at the Nelson and District Community Complex on Saturday for the medal rounds of ice hockey for the BC Seniors Games.

The 65+ teams faced off at 7:30 a.m. for the bronze medal. Prince George took home third place after winning the game.

The gold medal round for the 65+ teams started at 10:30 a.m. with the Kamloops Old Dogs playing the Lower Mainland Old Goats.

The Old Goats were awarded the gold medal and the Old Dogs took home the silver.

The 60+ teams began there medal rounds at 9 a.m. Prince George took home the bronze in the 60+ hockey as well.

In the gold medal round the Salmon Arm Cavaliers took home the top prize and the Lower Mainland Gringo's took home the silver.
