The Nelson Leafs scored three unanswered goals in the third period en route to an 8-4 win over the Braves in Spokane on Friday.
Kane Kennedy had a hat trick for the Leafs (20-16-3), who outshot Spokane 51-36.
Carsyn Crawford, Kieran Christianson, Camron Wickham, Crae Dawson and Dawson Davis also scored, while goaltender Jackson McLeod made 32 saves.
The win moved Nelson one point ahead of the Castlegar Rebels for third place in the Neil Murdoch Division.
Zach Baumann scored twice for Spokane (10-28-1), while Lance Insko and Tie Schumacher also had singles. Goalie Andrew Tworkowski stopped 43 shots.
Nelson next hosts the Fernie Ghostriders on Saturday.
