The Kootenay Ice major midgets lost twice as they hosted the Cariboo Cougars last weekend.

On Saturday, the Ice lost 6-2 with goals by Grayson Valente and Reese Tambellini in the first and second period.

In Sunday’s game two, the Cougars devoured the Ice 8-1, with the singular Ice goal scored by Shawn Campbell.

The Nelson-based team hits the road this weekend to play the South Island Royals at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria.
