Kreitz stops 30 as Leafs shut out Nitehawks 3-0

Nelson scored its three goals in the first 10 minutes

The Nelson Leafs scored three goals within the first 10 minutes of the opening period en route to a 3-0 win over the Beaver Valley Nitehawks on Saturday.

Joshua Stypka, Shawn Campbell and Emery Neilson each scored for Nelson (8-1-0), while Caiden Kreitz earned the shutout with 30 saves.

Noah Decottignies stopped 20 shots in net for the Nitehawks (8-3-0) in Fruitvale.

Nelson’s next game is Friday on the road against the Creston Valley Nitehawks. The Leafs then host the Osoyoos Coyotes on Saturday.
