The L.V. Rogers senior girls volleyball team finished first at the Oliver Invitational Tournament last weekend after going undefeated in every match against Penticton, Summerland, Princess Margaret, South Okanagan, Grand Forks and Trail.

Atlyn Proctor was selected as an all-star for LVR, which is currently ranked ninth among B.C.’s triple-A teams.

Two of our players are exchange students from Germany and we also brought up three Grade 10’s from the junior team since our numbers were low for the weekend due to work commitments.

The squad is off to Mount Sentinel this weekend to play Fernie, Kimberly and Imaculata from Kelowna. Games start at 2 p.m. Friday and the finals are Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
