Leafs edge Dynamiters in OT

Michael LeNoury scored in overtime as the Nelson Leafs edged the Kimberley Dynamiters 2-1 at home on Friday.

LeNoury’s goal 3:02 into OT gave the Leafs (25-9-1) their sixth straight win. Nelson has yet to lose in overtime this season.

Cole Wyatt tied the game at one for Nelson on the power play at 7:06 in the third period, and Caiden Kreitz finished with 32 saves for the win.

Brock Palmer scored in the first period for Kimberley (29-4-2), while Adam Andersen turned aside 16 shots.

Nelson next hosts the Grand Forks Border Bruins on Saturday night.
