The Nelson leafs blew out the Grand Forks Border Bruins Friday night 8-2 at the NDCC.

Out shooting Grand Forks 73-14, the Leafs dominated the entire 60 minutes of game play and didn’t hold up on the assault the entire time.

Bret Norman started the flurry of goals on the leafs side at the 13 minute mark of the third period, which was followed up by one from Dallon Stoddart just two minutes later.

The Leafs capitalized on three of eight power plays.

The Nelson Leafs get back into action at 2 p.m. Sunday at the NDCC against the Spokane Braves.
