KIJHL: Leafs trade for Justin Podgorenko

The forward had 12 points with the Castlegar Rebels last season

The Nelson Leafs have acquired forward Justin Podgorenko from the Castlegar Rebels for future considerations.

Podgorenko, a Nelson native, scored five goals and had seven assists in 43 regular season games with the Rebels in 2016-17.

The 18 year old previously had four assists through 38 games over parts of two seasons with the Creston Valley Thunder Cats.

The Leafs hold their training camp August 11-13 at the Nelson and District Community Complex.
