Local champs to step into ring for Fight Night 7

Nelson’s Leah Eberle and Ryan Lewis will have bouts Oct. 19

Fight Night 7 is a night of Olympic-style boxing featuring national-level athletes from Calgary, Spokane, Kelowna, Victoria, Cranbrook, Nanaimo and Nelson.

Enjoy 12 amateur bouts, including contests between Nelson’s 2019 national silver medalist Leah Eberle and Calgary’s Ella Meredith, and B.C. champion Ryan Lewis against Victoria’s Donny Cornelius.

This is a family friendly event, and a great time for all ages with home-cooked Mexican food by Vientos Mexico, great music and in-between round cards by Tribute Board Shop.

Doors open 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Nelson and District Rod and Gun Club. Tickets can be purchased at the Nelson Boxing Club, 685 Baker St., or at the door.
