LVR cross country athletes qualify for provincials

The senior boys took the zone championship and the junior girls placed second, earning both a spot at the provincials in November.

The LVR cross country team competed in the zone championships in Kimberley on Wednesday qualifying both the senior boys team, which won the team title, and the junior girls team, who placed second in the team race, for the provincials. Micah May won the senior boys race.

Members of the team include left to right coach Alex Ulaszonek, Tibo Kolmel, Keiran Marchand, Darien Johnson, Malte Liedtke, Julia Caspari, Micah May, Sophie Edney, Emilie Melter, Carolin Klopfstock, Sidney Zimmer, and Ronya Fastner.

The team will be competing in Vancouver on Nov. 7 at the BC high school provincial championships against all the top schools in the the province.
