The L.V. Rogers senior girls volleyball team will compete at provincials this week after qualifying in the Kootenay zone playoffs.

LVR defeated Trail’s J.L. Crowe Hawks 25-10, 25-13, and 25-9 to earn a berth in the AAA provincials, which are being held Thursday to Saturday in Lake Country.

The team plays Pitt Meadows, Langley and Gladstone in pool play Thursday.

LVR will be wearing new jerseys that were sponsored and made by Hume Hotel and Valhalla Pure. Hume also presented the team with $1,000 for hotel costs after hosting a burger and beverage fundraiser.

The Bombers wracked up wins throughout the season with four tournament victories.
