The BC Seniors Games cycling events started Thursday morning on Granite Road. Cycling includes three days of medals up for grabs with day one being the time trials. A full field put their endurance and strength to the test with a ride into Nelson where they looped back on the Rosemont highway overpass and headed to the finish line just west of Pacific Insight. The first rider out of the chute was 90-year-old Kelowna athlete Dennis Scorah. Cycling continues Friday with the road race and concludes Saturday with the hill climb. Both events leave from the staging area by the old Taghum bridge.
