It took extra time to decide who will represent the Kootenays at the upcoming BC High Schools soccer championships.
With a wicked winter wind kicking off Kootenay Lake, Cranbrook's Mount Baker topped the L.V. Rogers Bombers 3-1 to win a berth in this month's tournament.
The Bombers scored first, but before the end of the first half Baker replied. The teams played even in the second half, forcing the game into overtime. The Cranbrook side scored twice in the extra 20 minutes to earn the victory.
