The Nelson Baseball Association has started its regular season play with kids from six to 16 taking swings for teams at different levels.

There are three home games this week featuring Cal Ripken Minor and Babe Ruth teams.

The little guys in Cal Ripken Minor get it going at the newly revamped Lion’s Park diamond on Wednesday night when the Nelson Giants take on the Nelson Cardinals at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday the older kids in Babe Ruth (14-16 year olds) take the diamond with the Nelson Diamondbacks taking on the Trail Mariners.

On Friday night at Lions Park the Nelson Giants take on the Nelson Tigers in Cal Ripken action starting at 5:30 p.m.
