Nelson’s Will Adams won a unanimous decision at a card in Cranbrook on Saturday.

Adams, 13, used his reach to score a victory over Amir Ehsan of Lethbridge, Alta., in his third career bout.

Also fighting for the Nelson Boxing Club, 17-year-old Wamuna Fukada held his own against a more experienced Connor Ferrier of Cranbrook in an exhibition bout.

Lola Brouillette, who just last week won a bout in North Vancouver, had her fight cancelled at the last minute when her opponent came down with food poisoning. She still stepped into the ring for three rounds of sparring with Adams.

Brett Adams, meanwhile, also fought an exhibition bout after Kamloops fighter Jacob Henderson’s opponent failed to arrive.
