Nelson boxers Hanson, Bint win Bronze Gloves

A pair of Nelson boxers earned their Bronze Gloves last weekend.

The Nelson Boxing Club’s Porter Hanson and Gabriel Bint won their bouts at the provincial novice championships in Quesnel.

Hanson, 13, fought through a foot injury to beat Quesnel’s Trace McGregor with combinations for a third-round stoppage.

Bint, 16, held of Quesnel’s Lucas Oxenbury and used long jabs to earn a unanimous decision.

Nelson’s Leahc Corpuz, 21, also competed and lost a decision to Calgary’s Adam Kodora.

Nelson boxers next travel to North Vancouver for fights on Nov. 27.
