Caeden Rennie and Marino Raffo won their debuts as the Nelson Boxing Club went four-for-four at a card in Wallace, Idaho, on Saturday.

Rennie, 9, earned a unanimous decision against Leland Kolberg of Hamilton, Mont., while 10-year-old Raffo used an effective straight left to stop Wallace native Tyler Wuerrfel in another unanimous decision.

Meanwhile, Stryder Sutton, 13, overcame some hard right punches from Angelo Bear of Blackfeet Nation, Mont., for the unanimous decision, and 14-year-old Max Berkeley put down veteran fighter David Ponce of Hamilton, Mont., early in the fight and never let up for the unanimous victory.

The card featured 15 bouts with clubs from Idaho, Washington and Montana competing.

Next up for the Nelson team is a trip to Langford, B.C., for the Emerald Gloves this week, followed by provincials in Abbotsford on Dec. 7.
