The Nelson Leafs have acquired forward Shawn Campbell from the Castlegar Rebels.
Campbell scored 16 goals and 22 assists in 44 games last season. The 18 year old had 31 goals and 39 assists in 88 KIJHL games over two seasons with the Rebels.
“I am very excited to have acquired Shawn. He is a highly skilled player with above average speed and was the heart and soul of the Rebels and in my opinion the Rebels’ MVP in last years playoffs,” said Nelson head coach Mario DiBella in a statement.
Nelson sent back future considerations to Castlegar in return.
