Nelson Leafs down Beaver Valley 4-2

Tyler Seminoff was also named to the BCHC Prospects Game roster

Owen McFarlane scored the game-winning goal in the third period as the Nelson Leafs beat the Beaver Valley Nitehawks 4-2 at home Thursday.

Drake Proctor, Johnny Carmichael and Tyler Seminoff also scored for the Leafs (9-3-3), while Frederick Larochelle made 17 saves.

Beau Manegre and Eithan Grishin replied for the Nitehawks (9-5-2), with goaltender Connor Stojan stopping 23 shots.

Seminoff’s goal came after he was named to the BC Hockey Conference Prospects Game roster for the KIJHL. The game will be played Nov. 22 in Chilliwack.

The Leafs next host the Summerland Steam on Saturday.
