Nelson Leafs drop exhibition game against Nitehawks

The Nelson Junior Leafs lost 5-4 in their first exhibition game of the 2012-13 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League season.

Nelson Minor Hockey graduate Nolan Percival was in action on Tuesday night for an exhibition game against the Beaver Valley Nitehawks.

The Nelson Junior Leafs lost 5-4 in their first exhibition game of the 2012-13 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League season.

With a roster of untested rookies and veterans, the Leafs went about making decisions on their upcoming season. The visiting Beaver Valley Nitehawks skated away with a 5-4 victory at the Nelson and District Community Complex.

The Leafs tangle with the Nitehawks in Beaver Valley again tonight.
