The Nelson Leafs didn’t have much to be thankful for over the weekend.

Nelson fell 5-2 to the Ghostriders in Fernie on Friday before losing 2-1 the next night to the Dynamiters in Kimberley.

Bennett Anklewich and Johnny Carmichael each scored for the Leafs (1-2-1) against Fernie (1-3-0), while goaltender Dylan Marshall allowed four goals on 31 shots.

Against Kimberley (3-1-0), Marko Pavlovic had the lone Nelson goal with Tenzin Mint making 24 saves.

The Leafs return home Saturday against the Golden Rockets before hosting the Creston Valley Thunder Cats on Tuesday.
