Sanchez had 11 goals and 13 assists in his rookie season

The Nelson Leafs have traded David Sanchez to the Fernie Ghostriders.

The five-foot-10, 180-pound forward had 11 goals and 13 assists in his rookie season with the Leafs. Sanchez added one goal and two assists in 15 playoff games.

Fernie sent back a player development fee in return.
