The Nelson Leafs scored four unanswered goals to beat the Border Bruins 4-2 in Grand Forks on Saturday.
Nelson was trailing 2-0 after Tyson Tokarz and Spencer Horning each scored within the first minute of the second period.
Marko Pavlovic scored for the Leafs (2-0-0) in the second, then Johnny Carmichael and Jason Scott added power-play goals in the third. Bennett Anklewich also scored into an empty net.
Jasper Tait finished with 34 saves in net for Nelson, while at the other end of the ice Ethan Shebansky was forced to stop 46 shots for the Border Bruins (1-1-0).
The Leafs also announced their first trade of the season Monday.
Nelson acquired the rights to goaltender Frederick Larochelle from the Kelowna Chiefs for future considerations.
Larochelle, 19, had a 2.96 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage in 26 regular season games with the Chiefs last season.
