Nelson Leafs’ winning streak now 12 after victory against Castlegar

The Nelson Leafs’ extended their winning streak to 12 with a 4-1 win at home over the Castlegar Rebels on Wednesday.

Bryden Pow scored twice for the Leafs (29-9-1), who also had goals from Liam Noble and Bennett Anklewich. Tenzin Mint made 17 saves for the win.

Ethan Lawczynski turned aside 42 shots for the Rebels (14-22-2), while Cody Quinton had the lone goal.

The Leafs have just three games left in the regular season and are guaranteed to finish first atop the Neil Murdoch Division.

They visit Castlegar on Friday before hosting the Beaver Valley Nitehawks on Feb. 18 and the Grand Forks Border Bruins on Feb. 19.
