The Nelson Nordic Ski Club is pleased to welcome Nicole Perrin as their new head coach.

Perrin grew up in Kimberley and spent the last three years coaching in Prince George. She has a total of five years experience as a coach, and we are glad to have her back here in the Kootenays.

The youth programs for kids ages nine to 18 will be starting Sept. 14 to prepare for the upcoming winter season with some dry-land training sessions. If you see the athletes out roller skiing please slow down, give them space, and give them a wave!

These athletes are hopeful that there will be regional, provincial, and national races this year for them to travel to and compete in after not having the opportunity to travel last season.

The program is welcoming new athletes, so keep an eye on our website, https://nelsonnordicski.ca/ for program registration and details. Coach Nicole will be at the Nelson Farmers Market on Saturday, Sept. 11 with more information on the programs, or you can email her at nicole@nelsonnordicski.ca.

Through the winter Nelson Nordic offers programs for kids aged four to 18 years old. Nelson Nordic follows regional, provincial, and PSO COVID-19 guidelines and policies for their programs. We wish you an adventure-filled fall and look forward to seeing you on the trails!
