Nelson Selects clubs in the medals

The host Nelson Selects teams treated their visitors to great soccer action at the Terry Walgren Memorial Tournament

The host Nelson Selects rep teams treated their visitors to some great soccer action over the weekend at the Terry Walgren Memorial Tournament, coming away with four medals in the process.

In the U12 final the Selects were matched against Kootenay East and had to settle for a silver medal after a hard fought 1-0 contest.

In the U14 final, it was the Nelson U13 Selects against the Nelson U14 Selects. The younger squad were defeated 3-0 in the gold medal match.

In the U15 final the Nelson Selects scored gold with a 2-0 victory against Kootenay South.

The young U18 Nelson squad did not finish in the medals.
