Ali Popoff, owner of Nelson's Power By You CrossFit gym, won bronze at the 12th annual Ogopogo Open weightlifting competition last weekend in Lake Country.
Popoff lifted a total weight of 128 kilograms to finish third in her first competition after suffering a shoulder injury a year ago
Several other local athletes took part. Jaydon Wouters had personal bests in his clean and jerk, Kyle Wilkinson made four out of six lifts, and Leo Grypma and Kelsey O'Connor each made three lifts.
