This past weekend Matti Erickson (right) and Mateo Faraguna (left) of the Kootenay Chaos Track Club competed in a meet in Kamloops and came away with not only medals but meet records.

Erickson won the 60m run, the 200m and 800m, all in meet record performances. Faraguna placed second in the 300m and won a bronze medal in the Hurdles.

The highlight of the competition was Kamloops’ Dylan Armstrong being presented with his bronze medal from the 2006 Olympic Games in shot put. He was awarded the medal after another athlete was caught using drugs.
