Nelson’s Dawson Abraham made a statement at the BC Athletics Junior Development Track and Field Championships.
Abraham won two gold medals, a silver and a bronze at the provincial meet that was held Friday to Sunday in Surrey.
Competing for Kootenay Chaos, Abraham won gold in the 800-metre 2009 boys race with a time of two minutes 20.04 seconds, as well as a gold in the 1,200 in 4:45.76.
Abraham also scored a silver in the 80-metre hurdles in 12.78 seconds, and a bronze in the 200 hurdles in 29.03 seconds.
