Nelson’s Kelly Hellman led the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds to victory at the Battle of the Primm in Las Vegas earlier this month.
Hellman, a L.V. Rogers graduate in her first year at UBC, finished first overall in women’s play after shooting a 74 and an even-par 72 in the first and second rounds, respectively, on March 19 and 20.
Her results also lifted the Thunderbirds to the team title at Primm Valley Golf Club.
