Nitehawks knock off Nelson Leafs 4-1

Nelson is now four points out of first place in the Neil Murdoch division of the KIJHL.

The Nelson Leafs are now four points out of first place after a 4-1 loss to the division-leading Beaver Valley Nitehawks on Tuesday night.

The Leafs started the game well as Matt MacDonald gave the visiting Nelson squad a 1-0 lead after one period of play.

However, Beaver Valley scored four in a row to win the game 4-1.

Adam Maida stopped 30 of 33 shots in the loss.

Nelson and Beaver Valley play each other again today at the NDCC.

Puck drops at 2:30 p.m.
