Lakeside Park was packed with people as Nelson Youth Soccer Association’s house league season got underway Saturday morning. While some wee ones took to the field for the first time, proud parents cheering on, older kids proved they’ve picked up a few skills along the way. Coffee cups and cameras in hand, eager adults held up tradition as kids chomped on oranges nearby. There was a full slate of U12 and under games scheduled.
