Last weekend, the BC Provincial Track and Field Championships were held in Surrey.
Nelson’s Kootenay Chaos Track Club athlete, Matti Erickson, proved to be the outstanding athlete in the province in his age class.
Matti won all the running events held on the track, 60-metre, hurdles, 100-metre, 200-metre, 600-metre, 1000-metre and the discus.
To add to his gold medal haul he also broke his own provincial record in the 600-metre run.
