Local golfers endured soggy, cold conditions to raise money for the Rotary Club of Nelson on Saturday.

Fifty-eight athletes held umbrellas in one hand and clubs in the other during a torrential downpour at Granite Pointe Golf Course.

Rob Kozlowski, Matt Peschke, Michael Tucker and Brian Renwick were the winning team. The most honest team award went to Colleen Driscoll, Jeanette McCarvell, Norm McCarvell and Cathy Leigner, while Brian Garvin won the putting contest.

Money raised by the tournament this year will fund local Rotary initiatives such as scholarships and repairs to the club’s Lakeside dock.
