Ryan Cooper scored four goals as the Nelson Leafs defeated the Castlegar Rebels 5-3 on Sunday afternoon.

Cooper scored all four goals in a row, with three coming in the second period. Logan Wullum added an empty-net goal and Caiden Kreitz stopped 21 shots for the Leafs (32-8-3), who won their fifth straight game.

Vince Bitonti, Dallas Goodwin and Brady Daniels replied for the Rebels (29-12-2), while Curt Doyle stopped 31 shots.

The Leafs only need one more win, or a Rebels loss, to secure first place in the Neil Murdoch Division ahead of the upcoming postseason.
