Tyler Seminoff scored the game winner as the Nelson Leafs held off a comeback by the Golden Rockets to win 6-5 at home Friday.
Johnny Carmichael, Leighton Partington, Ryan Quast and Tyson Lautard and Lucas Byrne also scored for Nelson (20-14-5), with Jasper Tait making 29 saves.
Nick Morin, Hayden Barr, Liam Furlong, Kylie Monkman and Dominic Fiorentino replied for the Rockets (21-15-3), who scored three unanswered goals before Seminoff’s decisive score put Nelson ahead for good. Rockets goaltender Levi Hall finished with 35 saves.
The Leafs next host the Columbia Valley Rockies on Saturday.
