Jasper Tait made 22 saves for the shutout as the Nelson Leafs routed the Summerland Steam 5-0 at home Saturday.
Seamus Boyd scored a short-handed goal in the first period, while Tristan Magis, Bennett Anklewich, Ryan Quast and Johnny Carmichael also scored for Nelson (10-3-3).
Rogan Bacon was forced to make 37 saves in net for Summerland (7-7-3).
The Leafs next hit the road for three games in three nights, starting with Kimberley on Friday followed by Fernie and Creston Valley.
