The Hume defeated Heritage Roofing 6-3 on March 22 to secure back-to-back championships in the Kootenay Lake Rec Hockey League.

The Hume earned a berth in the finals with a win in their last game of the round robin after finishing third in the regular season.

This year the league added a fifth team, NBC Brewing, and the league provided parity not seen for a very long time. All season the teams remained separated by only a few points.

The league would like to thank our sponsors: The Hume Hotel and Spa, Heritage Roofing, Backroads Brewery, NBC Brewery and Spearhead Timberworks for supporting men’s league hockey in Nelson.
