Trafalgar’s Grade 8 girls had a very successful weekend at the West Kootenay championships, coming home from Mount Sentinel Secondary with gold and bronze.
Thunder B won their round robin pool putting them in first place while Thunder A ended up in second causing the two teams to meet in the tier 1 semifinals, which A won.
Thunder A then defeated Boundary Central in two sets to win gold, while B defeated Mount Sentinel in three sets.
The coaches are very happy with the results and the improvement by all the players this year. A really great group of athletes that are a pleasure to work with.
