The West Kootenay Wildcats bantam team pulled out a thrilling victory Sunday morning

The West Kootenay Wildcats bantam team pulled out a thrilling victory Sunday morning against regular season league champion Rossland/Trail to earn a spot in the West Kootenay Bantam House finals.

The Wildcats defeated Rossland/Trail 2-1 in overtime at the Nelson and District Community Complex when Emma Hare scored with two seconds left in the extra frame.

In the other semi-final Castlegar beat Nakusp to earn a spot in the final.

The final game is scheduled for 1 p.m. this afternoon at the NDCC.
